OnTheSnow with you on the go.
English (US) (Change)The Tirol's self-proclaimed "ski dimension" means a common ski pass and plenty of other reasons to visit. The high elevation (up to 2800m above sea level) in the heart of the upper Inntal valley means you can ski and ride this ski dimension.
There are 53 modern lifts and gondolas and 185 km of pistes for all levels and abilities, situated between 1200m and 2800m above sea level. The main connecting trails are equipped with snowmaking systems. Three small villages still have maintained their authentic feel.
Serfaus is a traditional Tirolean village dating back to the Raeto-Romance period (c.1500 BC). The entire village is closed to private traffic, so you can get around by a subway. It's known for its wonderful children’s center in the heart of the village. Not bad for a population of 970!
The neighboring town of Fiss is especially picturesque. A peaceful traditional village with a compact centre, lift-linked to Serfaus and with Ladis sharing a lift ticket. Skiing is on sunny trails, with the area receiving up to 2000 hours of sunshine a year (an average of more than five hours every day). There's several fun parks for snowboarders and a boardercross course.
Situated above the Inn Valley, Ladis boasts a castle, ancient village walls, and plenty of flair. There are two fun parks with rails, jumps, kickers, box and obstacles. There is a boardercross course and a Flight and Cross Park.
Get yourself to Landeck from Innsbruck or Munich and you are almost there.
Slopeside lodging is available in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis; 12'000 beds.
