“RE: Public Transport......no you don't need a car unless you're going to places not served by Public Transport. All of the major ski resorts are served by motorcoach from Innsbruck (free if you have a ski pass). Motorcoach stops all around town and at the major hotels.”

Don't know which resorts around Innsbruck you're interested in but remember that the Stubai Glacier is easily accesible and has year-round sking. You should have no problems in Jan.”
