Perisher - View of the main range in the morning from Guthega. Great couple of days skiing at Perisher, but now warming up so might not last that long unless the forecasted snow arrives on the weekend. - ©RHiPhone

Mt. Baw Baw Alpine Resort - Just been up Mt Baw Baw today after the website claimed there was 12cm of new snow (the weekly snow fall being 54cm) and the conditions were excellent. Boy where we disappointed... where to begin. The snow patchy with 70-75% coverage at best. A lot of runs had bare patches and thin covering of snow down to the grass, rocks maybe a slushy stream (see attached pics) but oddly it was also deep off the runs. According to the website 5 lifts are in operation, this includes the magic carpet and a lift that takes you halfway up a largely closed run. So call it 3 and a half. Two main lifts you are going to want to use: Hut Run Platter and Maltese Cross T-bar had quite a lot of runs closed limiting the options to mainly 3-4 decent runs. Felt very mislead and definitely not worth paying for a full lift pass until there is more new snow and there is a big dump. It didn't snow today so I can imagine the conditions will only worsen. - ©Jimmy C 84

Falls Creek Alpine Resort - been alot this season cover is good but very hard and icy. seems good if you get in after fresh snow but notice in alot spots from base to summit snow is only 20-30cm an melting underneath opening up cracks. i would say average base is more like 50cm as only areas of heavy snow making will have anywhere near a mitre. - ©jcardy1985
