View of Aspen highlands from Aspen. For those coming to area for first time my opinion is Snowmass and Aspen highlands are better to ski than Aspen. Aspen has a lot of long run-outs on the skiers right side and many of the best trails feed you into the same valley run outs repeatedly All 3 have some great challenging terrain and real good conditions right now. Aspen lovers-don't hate, just my opinion

If u like steep/deep and glades try temerity off the top of Aspen highlands. Same for "possible" off the top of Snowmass but there is a short steep chute that is getting a little dicey to get there- worth it though cause the powder below is still pretty much untracked

This past fall, after years of living in Aspen, Darcy took up residence slope side in Snowmass. While she still considers herself primarily an Aspen Mountain skier, she's spending more time exploring her backyard hill like this pillowy line in Rock Island. - ©Jeremy Swanson
