Hi, I'm jus here to clearify some questions and help justify Sunrise Park Resort. To those of you who understand that its not a HUGE resort but it's great for what it is Thankyou.

I never thought i'd be able to explain why sunrise isn't remodled even with all the great business we get in the winter. But with this economy crisis with the rest of the U.S. it makes it easier. The economy crisis was here on my reservation far before it hit the U.S. I understand the need to Remodel, Upgrade, Improve our Resort and Lodge, but believe it or not... at the end of a GREAT ski season... we're broke. I can't go into detail about the stories, gossip or as we say it "Gi'Dee", about why we have a Black Hole in our tribe's economy, but we do.

So to correct, we're not a 'money-maker', We're only a ski resort that survives only on the money put into it by you great ppl that come every year. We owe our jobs to you Literallly! A great percent of Sunrise workers have no other jobs to support them during the off-season. Our only other choice is SWFF, South West Fire Fighter... yup you guessed it... we fight the huge forest fires during the off season. So to word it Native Style... it is the elements of Water and Fire that keep frybread in our stomachs.

As for our other "money-maker'', the casino... to put it bluntly.. we're still paying it off. lol

So for those that wrote a great review, even a moderate review about our resort... THANK YOU! And for those that wrote a... less than great review... I apologize if we were a bit snappy in our reponses or customer help... we're jus hungry for some great frybread. lol. But seriously I do apologize for any discomfort you may have experienced while visiting our apache proudly owned resort. But we thank you for visiting still.

oh yea.. as for the paved resort... if we pave it it'll have permanant pot holes from the snowplows and bulldozers used to remove the snow to clear the parking lot... that's why we haven't paved it... jus an fyi.

So Keep coming to Sunrise Park Resort!! Arizona's Premiere Ski Destination!!! (try saying that everytime you answer the phone) lol. God Bless.
