Sunrise is what it is. It's a fair mountain. I went in February and the snow was outstanding. That being said, it needs a MAJOR overhaul. Please pave the parking lot! Update the base area so it's not stuck in the 80s. Ditto the lifts. If they added just two more high speed lifts in strategic locations, it would greatly improve the skiing experience. The triple on Cyclone is a joke. It's one of the slowest lifts I've been on and I've skied for 32 years. It's tough to sit on a lift for 12 minutes for a 5 minute run. There has to be some money made at the HonDah Casino to splurge a little bit on your other moneymaker.
