Until they seriously update this resort there is no reason to go. I drove 3 hours in each direction today from Phoenix and the whole resort was shut down when i arrived at 9am due to winds. They claimed that they were open on their 6am report and did not mention anything about wind. At 830 after everyone drove there from Phoenix, they stated that they were on hold and eventually did not open at all. I have skied many resorts through the west, and have never seen anythign shutdown in these conditions. A modern resort with some modern lifts would have operated without a problem today. So, until they do a serious overhaul, Snowbowl is not worth your money. Jump a cheap flight or drive the extra 3 hours and go somewhere else that will definitely be operating....... and if you are going to Snowbowl, double check before you leave.
