i don't know who in their right mind would give this dump a five star review. must be snowbowl's management. the negative reviews of this place are right on the money. lifts are slow as molasses on a winters day. waiting in long lift lines to ride on sub-par conditions that only service to damage your board/skis is not my idea of a good time, and is almost always a certainty on this mountain. if there is ever a good dumping of powder, it is immediately lost on the upper aggisez bowl, as the place is ALWAYS windblown and extremely icy. the trees can be fun given the right conditions, but the low rent staff always seems to mark off any decent natural kickers because of the huge influx of noob phoenicians struggling to slowly make their way down the slopes without falling. bottom line is if you are semi-decent, you are going to spend most of your time waiting at this place...either waiting to get on a lift, or waiting for the lift to get moving again because people keep falling at the top, or waiting to rent gear. all the charm of a day at the dmv. avoid it like the plague. suck it up and go the extra miles to CO or UT. you won't be disappointed.
