The Ariege department of the Pyrenees, is located mostly in mountain areas. With 10 ski resorts, it can meet the expectations of all skiers from beginners to extreme skiers.

Leaning against the Spanish crown and Andorra, Ariège, vast and untouched area of plains, mountains and lakes unfolds from north to south in successive stages from 300 to 3000 meters. The mountains are the best preserved of the Pyrenees. Taste of extreme or search for authenticity, whatever its purpose, the traveler, always welcome, is sure to be filled : this country is that of gold diggers, bears, shepherds, blacksmiths, weavers and miners, smugglers and resistant.
