I have been going to Las Lenas since 1993. It used to be a great place, with good snow and no lines. Unfortunately it has changed ownership, and as everything in Argentina, it went downhill very fast ( no pun intended). In the 12 years, I have visited this place several times and they have not invested a red cent into this place. Now the lift lines are up to an hour and more, since the lifts are so decrepit, that they function at 50% capacity, max. After we got a nice 2 ft. snowfall, the place became paralized. The top lift ( Marte) closed down for days, as they could not cut a path for the lift, even though it was beautiful sunshine. After it opened, the lines were about 2 hours long to get to the top. As an avalanche prevention, they managed to blow up one of their own lifts! It used to be a great place, my favourite ski resort, but it is so badly mismanaged, that it is definitely not worth the long trip any more. For summer skiing, stick to Chile, the resorts are much better managed there.
