Caviahue Ski Resort is located at the foot of the Copahue Volcano just inside the Copahue Provincial Park. The ski resort is known for its spectacular views of the Andes. Centro de Ski Cerro Caviahue is not just a great destination to ski but also a unique mountain getaway on the side of an active volcano.
At Caviahue, visitors can explore the Copahue Volcano, hot springs, and beautiful turquoise colored lakes. Other activities include snowshoeing, snowmobile rides and snow cat trips.
Caviahue Ski Resort is known for having one of the longest ski seasons in the southern hemisphere. The terrain offers visitors a vast amount of off piste skiing and riding.
The ski resort has varied terrain suitable for all ability types. Much of the ski area cuts through a large Araucaria forest. The resort offers ski school and has great daycare facilities.
Backcountry touring is a popular activity at Caviahue. Skiers can skin up to the top of the Copahue Volcano crater.
Caviahue Ski resort has multiple on-mountain accommodation options. The resort also provides equipment rentals, a repair shop, a nursery, a ski school, and Snow Garden.
Additional on-site activities include adventure skiing, snowmobile rides, dog sledding excursions. Thermal baths are located at the base of the volcano.
