Went with a group, (40+ year olds) and stayed in the Hotel Relais de Glacier. (Very nice, great steam room, sauna, massage etc..)
Skiing low down tended to be waxy and unpleasurable, but once we got over the top of the mountain, links to higher mountains and huge expanses of ski area, it was fantastic. Well prepared pistes, good and cheap mountain restaurants and simply fantastic views of the glacier, Matterhorn and surrounding ranges. Pistes 50m+ wide mean novices can turn a black run into a blue. Mind you, Italians like graceful skiing so their black runs equal French Red. Decent apres-ski is hard to find. There are some pubs and clubs, but not many.
Because of the access to higher ski areas, this resort gets a better rating. you can't really ski lower down after midday as it turns to slush.
