Alta Valtellina offers sports, fun, culture and relaxation all year round.
During the winter, the ski area – which includes Bormio, Livigno, Santa Caterina Valfurva and Valdidentro/San Colombano – offers a variety of ski runs that can satisfy skiers on any level, even the pros.
Nearly seventy ski lifts, with a total capacity of approximately 90.000 persons per hour, make it possible to ski on 230 km of perfect snow-covered runs in a splendid natural setting with a vertical drop of 1.800 mt (the highest difference in altitude in the Alps from the ski lift served point to the bottom of the run).

There are also 95 kilometers of cross-country and biathlon ski trails in the midst of this pristine nature. Snowboarding, telemarking, freestyle, alpine skiing, sleddog, hiking with snowshoes, nordic walking, quad trips, and ice skating are also available in Alta Valtellina.

The towns in Alta Valtellina are also popular in summer, thanks to their location, sports facilities, and excursions in the Stelvio National Park (one of the largest nature reserves in Europe). In the summer you can also ski on the Stelvio, one of Europe’s most important summer ski areas.

Numerous trails in verdant settings are available for hiking or mountain biking.
You can also golf, play tennis, and fish or do archery, free climbing and mountain climbing.
