If you go skiing in the ski area Aletsch, you do so on the largest and longest glacier of the Alps. The view is impressive and the glacier and the adjacent Aletschwald are not for no reason a World Hertiage Site. Still, the ski area Aletsch is more of an insider’s tip and you don’t have to expect long queues in front of the lifts.

The favourable exposure in between the Berner and the Italian Alps provides ideal conditions for skiers and snowboarders. The high alpine ski areas usually don’t need to complain about a lack of snow.
