because of the elevation, sunshine is prone to high winds and low visibility... during these conditions it is best to stay in the trees as the alpine areas are hard to ride. Sunshine has the best spring skiing i have ever seen the season runs from beginning of nov to the end of may, which is awesome. Unfortunately, sunshine is prone to big weekend warrior crowds from calgary... avoid the weekends and hoidays if possible. Sunshine is a horrible place to learn how to snowboard, if you are a begginer go to Nakiska, it is cheaper and much better suited to learning. The thing that makes sunshine very good is the freeride zones, if you can get your hands on some peeps, shovel and probe than do it. Delerium is a special place, it gets snow loaded from the predominent wind on the mountain, because you need peeps at the gate, most people do not go there. It is awesome, the chutes in galaxy are easily some of the best runs in alberta. The top to bottom is very long, and fun, even the bottom half of deleruim is good, and typically loaded with powder. This website is wrong, sunshine has probably 20-30 double black runs. If you have nice gear do not do the ski out, it tends to get skiied off and be dirty & rocky on the corners. The hotel at the mountain has pretty thin walls and is exspensive, if you wanna party stay in banff. If you are with a wife/girlfreind then try staying at emerald lake. sunshine does a fantastic slush cup
