Great day. Paradise opened and it was deep powder. Nearly lost a pole in it.
Larch was excellently groomed. Some bare patches still off the beaten track -- front side skiers right near base, bottom of bobcat. A great day.
Backside was beautiful. A couple small bare patches on some blue runs but really really good coverage overall - lots of pow still to be found. Paradise just opened today and it was perfect. Deep powder and tracks in some spots if you needed to give your legs a break.
Snow was actually really really awesome yesterday. I would say that the mountain in its current state is as good as it was all of last season. Knobb is only lift not open yet but everything else has nice groomed runs or beefy powder.
Only two chairs open...Olympic and Gold. Snow was decent but with only one run open from the Olympic chair, there was a huge bottleneck at the short intermediate steep section. Quite dangerous as some skiers were stopped while others didn't slow down at all. That's why only 2 stars.
