Awesome day at Castle Mountain Resort … fresh 14 cm of fluffy snow with largely a soft forgiving base… glad I waited!

Great weather, +3. Friendly staff. Runs were soft and easy to ski where the majority of people Skiied. However, on the runs less travelled it was crusty due to the rain jan21.

They need snow chutes not open. Red chair didn’t spin until almost 2:00 yesterday, Blue chair was 30 minutes late too. +4 and raining at the base at 3:15 PM yesterday. Hopefully conditions will improve not much decent terrain open.

Mountain is still completely covered with snow. Absolutely no exposed patches. Really nice

North Bowl: Awesome when theres no tracks and your first to hit the trail for the day. 8-10" of powder up top to start the day.

Epic day at Castle! It was our first time and the snow was deep and light on the upper 2/3rds or the hill!

Conditions were moderate at the middle and fresh powder at the top. I'll ski here again as conditions are the best in Alberta

Once again Castle Mountain do not disappoint. Despite not much fresh snow for several days, Castle still had plenty of good snow stashed in the trees (glade runs) and on the steep runs off the Red chair (upper mountain lift). Barfed wet snow all day. 20-30cm. Had a blast. POW everywhere.
