There is an unbelievable amount of snow at Alyeska for this time of year. The snow depth at the top is over 100 inches and they are closing in on 300 total inches already, and it is still December. So far, the warm coastal weather that can be the bane of this place has stayed away. We have skied powder over and over and over again. This place is almost always a great place to ski. But this year is really over the top so far. We have travelled all over to ski and always had great trips. All ski towns are a lot of fun. But the skiing is almost always better back here in Girdwood.
