Okemo has become one of the best run and most popular resorts in New England. Independently owned and smoothly run by Diane and Tim Mueller, skiers and riders will find a big mountain hanging over Ludlow, but with superb snow, grooming and challenge as you want it.
A Super Pipe awaits snowboarders in an enormous framework. A shuttle service provides pick up and drop off from the various condo centers, including evening hours. There's no longer a need to turn the car on once you arrive. A $55 million base area infrastructure and trail network made its debut a few seasons ago in the Jackson Gore area.
Recent improvements are two new double black diamond trails, a new beginner-friendly conveyor lift to replace the Poma lift at the resort's base, the new wine room at the Coleman Brook Tavern, two new park cats and two new groomers, and an upgrade to the resort's massive snowmaking pond that will increase capacity from 70 million to 153 million gallons.
The Jackson Gore Inn offers a range of fully-furnished slopeside units - all the way up to 3-bedroom penthouse suites. Each unit has a tub with water jets and an entertainment center with cable TV, a CD and DVD player, and surround sound. There's also a heated underground parking garage and valet parking for overnight guests. Inn guests have full access to a state-of-the-art fitness facility, large heated indoor-outdoor pool, inside and outside hot tubs, children's pool, sauna, steam room, locker/shower rooms, and massage rooms. Also, condominiums and chalets at the slope and Okemo Lodge at base. Some ski in/out available. An additional 3,000 beds lie within a 10-mile radius along with additional condominiums and townhouses.
Cafeteria, lounge, and restaurants. Including a new wine room at the Coleman Brook Tavern, located in the Jackson Gore Inn. Ski and snowboard shop, storage, rental, repair, sundries shop, and learning center. Daycare center for children ages 6 months to 6 years along with ski patrol, first aid, and a hospital 16 miles away. Ninety-five percent snowmaking.
Fitness center, video arcade, cross country skiing and touring, snowshoeing, ice skating, sleigh riding, snowboard park and half pipe, dula race area, NASTAR, and terrain park.
Four terrain parks, two super pipes, and a mini half pipe. Two new Camoplast park cats will enable the grooming team to prepare the parks and pipes with greater efficiency.
