Norway's largest resorts with Scandinavia's first six person chair and in 2006-7 the first heated six-seater chairlift. The world's first ski club was formed here in 1861 and Trysil has been a regular supplier of Norwegian ski team members ever since. 16 ' ski roads' link the ski areas. The resort was pourchased by SkiStar in 2005 which owns four of the other major Scandinavian ski centres.
