The Summer is gorgeous with the deep blue fresh water against the sandy dunes and tree covered hills surrounding it. Yes, east coasters, you cannot see to the other side of the lake and it is clear and clean. It looks quite a lot like Cape Cod and Nantucket. There is something to do all winter....skiing, both on the hills that look out over Lake Michigan and on the many cross country trail and walking the beach. Sunsets are spectacular.
