Aguilar wrote: I was at Sugarloaf in January with some coworkers and, for the short time we were there, it was simply awesome. There was fresh powder, and the terrain was very promising. Unfortunately when we got there, there were only TWO lifts operating due to wind, so lines were long right off the bat; But you can't blame the resort for bad weather. Then, after three runs they shut down the mountain completely due to 80MPH (Yes, eighty) winds at the top, and 50MPH winds at the base.
