Gourette in the Ossau valley at an altitude of 1400m has been completely overhauled over the past few years and now offers the best skiing with ultra modern uplift. It's also one of the most snow-sure resort in the Pyrenees although little known outside France/Spain. Functional buildings include 14 bars and 12 restaurants.
There are more than 20 runs for skiers of all ability level, the steepest is the Pene Blanque run. The Bézou sector is specially equipped with gentle ski lifts and travelators for beginners.
Ultra-modern lifts include the 10-seater Bézou gondola lift (2700 people an hour), the Pitchoun and anglas quad chairs and Plaa-Ségouna detachable 6-seater ski lift (capacity 3000 people and hour) . 150 snow guns cover all the ski slopes, supplied by twoi giant reservoirs.
