This can cause problems when conditions are good as the Madrid masses arrive in force causing legendary lift lines. Some locals complain ticket prices are also higher than they should otherwise be if the resort didn’t have a captive market to cash in on. Wind, Rain Closes In On Spain Winds, Rain Close In On Spain A few Spanish ski areas suspended operations Wednesday in the face of high winds and snow-eroding rainfall.
