There are two ski areas near Bayrischzell, The larger with three quarters of the terrain and a 580m vertical is Südelfeld, is a favourite of Munich's skiers with its 20+ lifts - one of Germanys biggest ski areas. The second choice is the Wendelstein, which is more challenging and with the bigger 932 vertical. There are only five runs here and 10km of trails all graded red or black.
