Sugar Bowl Ski Resort in Norden is only a three- hour drive from San Francisco. It offers 84 named trails spread over 1,500 acres, and has undergone a 10 year, 50 million dollar redevelopment that includes five high-speed quads serving four different mountain peaks.

Located within the Tahoe Basin, which boasts the highest concentration of ski resorts and winter activities in North America and also offers a variety of dining and nightlife possibilities. Ski and snowboard lessons and rentals available. The 7,000-square-foot Mountain Sports Learning Center has ticketing, lessons, and rentals under one roof. Childcare for children ages 3 years to 6 years. The Village at Sugar Bowl is in the midst of a major expansion with completion of the first phase of its new Village at Mount Judah opening this winter. Ski-in-ski-out condos are located at the base of Mt. Judah with first chair just out the front door.

All 84 trails are open for snowboarding. There are two terrain parks and a scorpion cut halfpipe. Full snowboard and boot rental facility. New this year will be an intermediate fun-for-all park. A family park for beginners and children will be sculpted out on Nob Hill.
