With a base elevation of 7,800 feet, Kirkwood is the highest starting point of any major resort in Lake Tahoe. Locals and fans say Kirkwood catches the best snowstorms streaming in to the Sierra. There are 2,300 acres for skiing and riding, 65 trails, two high speed quads and top to bottom snowmaking on four runs.

Kirkwood’s expanded terrain parks are a big draw. AdventureLand features gentle rollers and ski-through tunnels for youngsters. The playground includes a halfpipe, small jumps and great banked turns and rollers. And Stomping Grounds, the resort’s main park, features longer lines with great flow and a 22’ Mountain Dew Superpipe.
