It's possible to take a funnicular, cable car and chair lift all the way from lakeside Locarno up to the skiing of Cardara, with spectacular views back down to the lake. There are five pistes, four of which face south and provide excellent views of Lake Locarno. Traditional local cuisine is available at five mountain restaurants.
