A sprawling village on the Schnee Winkl Pass with St Johann and other famous resorts. Fieberbrunn is also a major snowboarding centre. Legendary snow cover thanks to the local microclimate.
Fieberbrunn is one of the world's leading snowboard centres and has a long history in the 'new' snow sport. It staged the Snowboard Masters World Cup in 1997 (Giant Slalom, Parallel Slalom, Half Pipe) and the ISF European Snowboard Championships (Lords of the Boards - Giant Slalom. Parallel Slalom and Halfpipe) in 1998 and the ISF World Pro Tour in '99 including the 'Lords of the Boards,' with many more major events since.
For 2004/05 the Skiwies'n Lords area was created at the base of the gondolas, incorporating existing terrain features and adding to them. This giant terrain park incorporates serious attractions like the floodlit Lords of the Boards Halfpipe, kickers and jumps with facilities for beginners and children and après ski facilities including the snow-iglu-bar, Biwak and Enzianhütte.
