A major part of the Schi Region Süd, on the north side of the Slovenian border, the lifts on Petzen are accessed by a modern gondola from which there's a long ski down to the villages of Bleiburg or St Michael if snow conditions permit. Trails are all tree lined and off-piste there are thick forests.
