The Frauenalpe is located in the Murauer Mountain region , overlooking the city of Murau, where the Nordic World Championships were held. The skiing-area can easily be reached by a well built mountain road. Visitors can choose between five ski-lifts and a wide variety of ski-pistes spread out over 36 hectares.
Additionally an eight kilometre (five mile) descent ends right outside of the gates of the historic city of Murau.
